Does FastestVPN Have a Free Trial?

All of the FastestVPN subscription plans come with a 15-day money-back guarantee. This is half the time of the average 30-day money-back guarantee that most users offer but still gives new users time to try out the service and make sure it is suitable for them.

Fortunately, the Cayman Islands has no mandatory data retention laws. This means that FastestVPN is not required by law to store or share any of its users’ data. Coupled with the fact that FastestVPN operates a no-logging policy and doesn’t monitor or keep any user logs, this is great news for privacy-conscious internet users.

Does Netflix Work with FastestVPN?

One of the main reasons for VPN use is to bypass geo-blocks, and access censored websites in other parts of the world or foreign versions of your favorite sites and streaming services. Netflix detects your IP address and directs you to the local version of its service. However, with a VPN, you can bypass these restrictions easily.

During research for our FastestVPN review, we tested its ability to unblock Netflix. We connected to a dedicated server for streaming in the US and were quickly able to unblock Netflix. Being able to access US Netflix is always a great indication of a VPN’s streaming unblocking ability.

FastestVPN works well with other streaming services, including Disney+. Unfortunately, we were unable to bypass the BBC iPlayer VPN block; however, BBC iPlayer is notorious for its VPN blocking technology which can seek out VPN IP addresses, so this was unsurprising.

Yes! FastestVPN is arguably one of the best VPNs on the current market for torrenting. Not only is there unlimited bandwidth which allows for as much downloading and uploading of files as you want, but FastestVPN offers torrenting-optimized servers, meaning you can enjoy the best P2P file sharing experience.

As well as the above, FastestVPN promises 99.99% uptime, meaning that you’ll be able to torrent when you want to as there will always be a server available to connect to.

Is FastestVPN Safe?

FastestVPN employs many features to ensure that your data is safe when using the VPN. For example, the provider uses military-grade encryption to hide your data from prying eyes. There are also several secure VPN protocol options to secure the connection.

As well as the above, DNS requests and your actual IP address will remain safe thanks to DNS leak protection. There is also a kill switch to ensure no browsing data is accidentally exposed should the VPN go down.

There is also an ad-blocking feature to ensure that your devices don’t become infected with malware. Overall, we feel that FastestVPN is a safe VPN, given the level of security it offers to users.

Does FastestVPN Log Your Data?

FastestVPN states in its privacy policy that it “does not store any logs, period!” FastestVPN doesn’t keep any of the following information:

• Browsing history
• DNS requests
• Download and upload activities
• Streaming activity
• Real IP addresses

FastestVPN also reassures users that, due to being based in the Cayman Islands, it doesn’t legally need to store or hand over any data from its server network. It is worth mentioning that FastestVPN does store email addresses for account setup purposes.

How Many Simultaneous Connections Does FastestVPN Offer?

FastestVPN supports up to ten simultaneous connections which should be more than enough for most users. However, FastestVPN offers the option to add on extra device connections. Each additional connection costs $1.

What Devices Can You Use FastestVPN on?

You can use FastestVPN on around 20+ devices, which is great news for users. There is FastestVPN support for Windows, iOS, Android, Mac, Linux, Amazon Fire Stick TV, Xbox, and home wi-fi routers. By connecting the VPN to the router, you can bypass the device limit and ensure that all operating systems connected to your home network are protected.

There are custom apps for various operating systems, including a desktop app and mobile apps. Is FastestVPN Actually Fast?

Given the name of the VPN, you’d be forgiven for asking: is FastestVPN actually the fastest VPN on the market? We tested FastestVPN with some speed tests to check how fast it is.

For the first speed test, we connected to a US server and were happily surprised by the download speed which dropped from 30Mbps to 28Mbps. This is a fast download speed, and good enough for streaming and torrenting.

Other speed tests connected to further away servers in Europe and Asia also displayed good speeds. For example, in the UK, we had fast download and upload speeds, and our speed test in Japan also revealed speedy results.

Overall, we’d wager that FastestVPN is consistent when it comes to connection speed, as our speed tests demonstrated.

Is a VPN Connection with this VPN Service Secure?

Yes, your connection will be secure with FastestVPN. Not only is there advanced encryption but there is a range of secure tunneling protocols that users can choose from to ensure their connection is safe, including OpenVPN.

Does FastestVPN Have a Kill Switch if the VPN Connection Drops?

Yes, FastestVPN has an internet kill switch that is available on its apps including its Windows app.

During our testing for this FastestVPN review, our kill switch in the Windows client sprung into action and disconnected us from the internet for a short time after the VPN server went down. This is reassuring, and we are glad to see that the provider doesn’t operate a defunct kill switch.

What is FastestVPN’s Customer Support Like?

FastestVPN is a great example of how to deliver stellar customer support. Firstly, there is a customer support center and knowledge base on the VPN’s website, that is full of FAQs and set-up guides. Here, you can likely find the answer to any question or issue you may have with the VPN and its services.

As well as having a dedicated help section on the FastestVPN website, there is also email support and live chat support. If you have an urgent issue, then live chat support is a great way to get in touch quickly with the customer support team and get an answer then and there.

How Does FastestVPN Compare to Other VPN Services?

Overall, FastestVPN is a first-rate VPN, that definitely holds its own when compared to other popular VPN services. It offers many of the same security and privacy features as popular premium VPNs and even has additional tools such as ad-blocking and smart tunneling.

Better yet, FastestVPN has ten device connections per plan and allows users to add on extra simultaneous connections for $1 each. This is more than what ExpressVPN, NordVPN, and CyberGhost VPN offer, but less than Surfshark’s unlimited simultaneous connections.

The most appealing thing about FastestVPN is its long-term subscription plan prices. These offer some of the best value for money that we have seen in the VPN industry, and are definitely an advantage of the service over other VPNs in the industry.
