SpyOFF is a relatively small VPN service that makes some big promises. It is not the worst VPN on the market, nor is it the best. For every positive, there seems to be a downside too. There are decent server connection speeds, a generous unlimited simultaneous connections policy, the potential for unblocking streaming sites like Netflix, as well as a 30-day money-back guarantee.

However, despite these plus points, SpyOFF is arguably overpriced, its kill-switch is largely unreliable, connection times are quite slow on the desktop clients, and it will not offer access to trickier geo-restricted sites like BBC iPlayer.

The SpyOFF apps include crash analysis and diagnostic tools which can share information with the company. The privacy policy states that this information does not include IP addresses or activity data. Still, if you're not happy with this, there is the option to de-activate this data analysis at any time.

The VPN claims to offer a kill switch on its Windows client, but this did not perform reliably during testing. A VPN should cut your internet connection if the VPN fails for any reason to prevent your real IP address and any unencrypted information from becoming exposed. So, the fact that the kill switch cannot be relied upon is extremely concerning for security-conscious users.

Users can choose to re-route their internet traffic through the Onion network for an extra layer of privacy and access to Onion sites. There are a few other advanced tools, too, including the option to switch between OpenVPN UDP, OpenVPN TCP, OpenVPN LTP, and PPTP protocols. You can also have the VPN launch alongside Windows. Fortunately, the Windows client appeared to prevent DNS data leaks during testing, which is somewhat reassuring.

The settings section offers a few configurable features, including the option to re-route your VPN connection through the encrypted Onion network for an extra layer of privacy. Choose between OpenVPN UDP and TCP, LTP, and PPTP protocols, or opt to have the VPN launch alongside Windows.

Is SpyOFF VPN Good for Streaming?

SpyOFF is a VPN service that claims to offer reliable streaming performance. However, this is not entirely true.
